End of the Year Information/ Seniors
Conditions for Consideration for Senior Exam Exemption:
- Students may not have any absences
from school during 4th quarter. If a student knows they will be absent, they
must submit a request for consideration
to Mr. Millisor. The request must be in writing and prior to the absence for
administrative consideration for exemption. Emergency situations will also
be considered. If an exemption is granted, the student will be notified and
the student’s name will be put on an “Exempted Absence List” to
be checked later as evidence of approval.
- Students may not have any tardies
to school during the 4th quarter. Emergency situations may be given exemptions
with administrative approval.
- Students must have a “B” or
above in a class to be exempt from taking the final exam.
- No discipline issues during the
4th quarter (this means no Office DT’s,
Friday Schools or Suspensions).
- Students who need to take an exam
in order to pass the class, must take the exam.
- Teachers in AP classes will give
students a final exam because the grade is weighted. The students must take
the final exam, or take the AP exam.
- Seniors who are exempt from final
exams will be given the grade they received as their 4th quarter grade as
their exam grade also.
- Students may take a final exam
if they wish to improve their grade by doing so.
- Seniors must attend periods 1st – 5th
on the last day. Exams will follow periods 6th & 7th that day.
