Jesse Mayabb Scholarship Banquet
The faculty of Monroe High School host this banquet each year to honor the students who have excelled in the areas of grades, attendance and citizenship. Jesse Mayabb started the banquet over 20 years ago to recognize academic excellence. He impacted many lives through his dynamic teaching. Although he is no longer with us, his knowledge and enthusiasm remain with many of his former students.
This year's banquet will be held on May 7th at 6:30
The students who qualify for this banquet will receive an invitation for both themselves and their parents. Your teachers will cook the food and serve it to you! If you qualify, you are one of an elite group of students and you should view this as an honor.
To be eligible for an invitation, you must fulfill all of the following requirements:
Be in grades 9 - 12
Maintain a minimum 3.6 G.P.A. over the first three grading quarters. ** Your G.P.A. cannot fall below 3.6 for any grading period and we do not round up. Example: A G.P.A. of 3.58 is not rounded up to a 3.6 **
Have no more than one unexcused absence per quarter.
Have no violations of the Student Code of Conduct. *No office detentions, no ISS, no Friday School, no suspensions*
Be taking a full day schedule and be eligible for a diploma from Monroe High School
