So you want to be a thespian?

Earning Membership

Thespian membership is granted for the performance of meritorious work in theatre arts which meets the Society’s general guideline. Specifically, students become members by earning points for their work. When requisite number of points has been earned, an initiate may choose to join the Society as an annual or a lifetime member. To attain Thespian membership, a student must earn ten points, five of which must be acquired at the school where s/he is to be initiated. No student will be denied membership if s/he has acquired the ten points needed, and no student should be elected into the society.

A student must participate in at least two full length productions or one full length and two one acts or four one acts. Participation should be in at least two of the listed categories—for example: acting and business.

You can pick up a “points sheet” in room E102 from Mrs. Norsworthy or from Thespian officer Heather Baker.
