| The warrior within
him was released through many years of watching his clansmen battle
with eachother backed by the hand of Britain. Great Britain caused
a lot of infighting of the Highlanders making things much easier
for them to remain in control. Once William took to his sword it
wasn't a long time before he began to steadily climb through the
ranks of the military. He won many battles against the British until
his capture on August 5, 1305 when one of his soldiers turned him
in to British forces. He was tried in London and found guilty of
multiple cases of "murder" and treason of his country.
He was stripped naked and dragged through the city of London at
the heels of a horse. He was then hanged for a moment but realeased
before he suffocated. He was then emasculated and disemboweled,
they then burned his intenstines in front of him. Finally he was
beheaded and all four of his limbs were severed. His head was ppreserved
by being dipped in tar and was placed on the tip of a pike of a
statue in London. |
